Cavite Provincial Governor Jonvic C. Remulla signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) for the establishment of Quality Management System (QMS) certifiable to ISO 9001:2008 in the Provincial Government of Cavite last December 14, 2011 at the DAP head office in Pasig City.
Cavite is already one of the top 10 provinces of the Philippines, yet, their quest to further achieve excellence never stops. As Governor Remulla said, “We are already in the age of rapid technological advancement and development, so we have to continuously strive towards enhancing the capacity of our provincial system.” Through the ISO-QMS, Cavite hopes to become more competitive and effective as a government so that quality service to the public could always be achieved.
DAP provides technical guidance, conducts training courses and seminars to assist different government agencies become ISO-certified. This is in line with the Executive Order 605 which enjoined government instrumentalities to adopt the ISO Quality Management System (QMS) in the Government.
