DAP President Antonio D. Kalaw, Jr. welcomed and congratulated the graduates for earning their degrees. He likewise thanked the CARD-MRI for partnering with DAP for the program. In response, CARD-MRI founder and Managing Director Dr. Jaime Aristotle B. Alip commended the DAP, particularly the faculty and staff of the Graduate School of Public Development and Management (GSPDM) and said that he is looking forward to the succeeding   batches of the MPQM-MF program.

Former AFP Chief of Staff General Alexander B. Yano represented and read the  message of commencement speaker Congressman  Emmanuel “Manny” D. Pacquiao who was not able to make it to the event.

In his message, Pacquiao emphasized the importance of microfinance in the country saying  that it somehow works as a “counterpunch” against poverty. He also pointed out the role of DAP in the country’s development. “DAP is not just a learning institution, it’s a lens to see the problems of our kababayans.” Lastly, he told the graduates to “be the change you want to see” and encouraged them to enact their Action Plan and Project  (APP) for this can be the stepping stone for the betterment of  communities.

Meanwhile, MPQM-MF Batch 3 President Florife T. Reynido recalled the class’ remarkable memories and gave assurance that the investment of CARD-MRI and DAP “will not go to waste.”

“We will make you proud of us, we will make better communities,” Reynido said as she  ended her message on behalf of the graduating class.

The MPQM-MF  program is an interdisciplinary course that runs for 16 months. Its framework is based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award which focuses on managing “stakeholder-driven operating  environments.” From this, the students can determine their strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement and develop action plans for the long term progress of their respective  organizations.
