The Urbani School Health Kit (USHK) is a package containing materials
that can support health education and health promotion activities in
schools. It focuses on seven thematic health campaigns: (1) personal
hygiene, (2) intestinal parasitism, (3) nutrition and diet, (4)
anti-tobacco, (5) oral health, (6) environmental health, and (7)
malaria and dengue. The kit includes a teacher’s guide, resource booklets,
posters, and teaching aids for the various themes. It was created by the
World Health Organization (WHO) and named after Dr. Carlo Urbani, an expert
in parasitic diseases who developed the concept of providing schools with
kits that can be used to teach children lessons on health.
