A total of 37 participants from the Department of Science and Technology attended a three-day course on basic project management held on June 27-29, 2018 at West Avenue Suites in Quezon City.

The course, which provided the participants with the basic principles and tools in project management, aimed to deepen their understanding of the interrelated stages of the project management cycle.

On the last day of the training, the participants presented their course outputs that included the problems and objectives tree, logical framework and risk register of their current projects.

DAP Managing Director Imelda Caluen of the Center for Governance (CFG), Senior Project Officer Reuel R. Hermoso of the Productivity Development Center, DOST-II Regional Director Sancho Mabborang and DOST-II Chief Administrative Officer Mary Ann P. Maglasin served as panelists and gave their comments and suggestions to enhance the outputs presented by the participants.

The course on basic project management is one of the regular public offerings of the Academy’s CFG, and this can also be customized to suit the requesting agencies’ needs.
