The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Center for Governance (CFG), conducted the course on basic monitoring and evaluation for the Biodiversity Management Bureau (BMB), an attached agency of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), last August 29-31 at the Brentwood Suites in Quezon City.

A total of 25 officers and staff from different divisions of the BMB attended the course, which aimed to deepen their understanding on the basic concepts and steps in developing and conducting an effective impact evaluation of their projects and programs.

During the course, the participants prepared and presented a draft monitoring and evaluation plan based on the logical framework of their current projects or programs.

The course served as a follow-up course for the policy development training that the agency’s officers and staff attended last August 1-3 and is one of the regular public offerings  of the DAP-CFG that are often requested by agencies to be customized to suit their needs.
