The Development Academy of the Philippines, through its Productivity and Development Center’s Modernizing Government Regulations (MGR) Program, in cooperation with the National Economic and Development Authority, will conduct a consultation series on government to citizen (G2C) transactions, which involve employment and welfare services. The consultation series is set to run from November to December 2020 to gather the opinions and thoughts of citizens based on their actual experiences and perceptions in transacting with government agencies during and before the time of the pandemic.

With the end goal of streamlining unnecessary rules and reducing compliance costs borne by the government, from administering and enforcing regulations, as well as, the transacting public, results of the consultation will serve as inputs to the MGR Program’s review of government employment and welfare regulatory systems. This initiative is in line with the current administration’s 10-point socioeconomic agenda and the implementation of the Republic Act No. 11032, known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

Expected to participate in the consultation series are employment and welfare associations in the Philippines with members from the private sector who transact with government agencies and avail of government services. The general public is also invited to join and express their opinion/s through the online survey entitled, “Perception Survey on G2C Transactions in the Philippines” that can be accessed through this link: https://bit.ly/MGRPO_G2CSurvey.
