The SEC Faculty, PMDP Class Directors and the PNU Facilitators mimic the ASEAN handshake during the curriculum review workshop held at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City.

Philippine Normal University President Ester B. Ogena, along with four other experts, headed the Senior Executive Class (SEC) curriculum review of the Public Management Development Program (PMDP) last November 18 at the DAP Conference Center in Tagaytay City.

The initiative is part of the PMDP’s proactive move to continually strengthen its program design to make it more responsive to the competency requirements of the evolving Philippine bureaucracy.

The curriculum review workshop aimed to re-think the SEC modules by infusing innovations in order to address the scholars’ emerging and unmet needs. The workshop attendees adapted the Design Thinking Process and produced drafts of an enhanced SEC curriculum aligned to outcome-based guidelines prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education.

Twelve SEC faculty members and three class directors participated in the one-day workshop. A similar curriculum review was held on June 29-30, 2017 for the Middle Managers Class of the PMDP.
