DAP-Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM) received 32 health post kits from the World Health Organization (WHO) Philippines last 18 December 2014. Turned over by WHO Country Representative to the Philippines, Dr. Julie Hall, each medical kit contain tools and supplies that will be used by doctors serving Yolanda-affected provinces under  the Department of Health’s (DOH) Doctors to the Barrios Program (DTTB).

The DTTB Program sends medical practitioners, doctors and nurses to rural areas lacking in medical services. It aims to provide better health opportunities to remote communities and far-flung provincial areas.

The DAP has been partnering with DOH’s DTTB Program to produce skilled health system reform implementers and rural health development managers through DAP-GSPDM’s 38-unit interdisciplinary Master in Public Management major in Health Systems and Development (MPM-HSD) Program .

Dr. Julie Hall delivered her inspirational speech for the recent DTTB graduates of the MPM-HSD program last 23 October 2014. During her speech, she commended the graduates for their courage in treading the path less taken and commitment to the cause. She encouraged them to keep going on inspite of and despite all hardships.
